I Know An Angel
I Know An Angel James Michael Dickerson (Jimmy) Bossman
From: Grandpa - James Savage September 26, 2007
My loneliness is heightened. His memories pound within my soul. My anxiousness binds me. Shortly, it will be the 21st birthday of my departed friend and grandson, Jimmy Dickerson – September 30, 2007.
Least we never forget. This is a thought of many that knew Jimmy Dickerson. This special person must remain alive in the minds of everybody – the desire of many. But as I reason with life, I know that the minds of others will remain sacred unto themselves. Sacredness is an attitude of volition in all happenings. I believe that others make choices with all things including memories, morality, goodness and even evilness. Could it be that what others think and do is actually a correlation of their spiritual beliefs? Yes, we care what others think and believe; however, the caveat is that we have no control over the thoughts and beliefs of others. Least we never forget but understand the sacredness of others as they do as they will in all things and happenings.
My comfort remains that Jimmy Dickerson is home – Heaven. Would I rather that it be different? I could expound with my “yes” with innumerable words and pleas; however, I must trust my Lord and Savior – He gives me no choice – and have solace in His Power and Authority. If He can create the world and know when a sparrow falls, Jimmy is experiencing fulfillment in all things. I have alluded many times to the divineness of Jimmy. It had to be divineness for those of us that knew him understandably know that human measurements were not applicable with him. There was no scale high enough to measure his acumen – insight. He was truly: Beyond the pale. He was beyond the boundaries of measurement of human nature. I like to say he was an Angel and still believe this. I know an Angel.
Now I thank God. I thank God that I know an Angel - Jimmy. To be worthy of God and Jimmy, I must be representative of God and Jimmy. I therefore shall not waver and be stalwart for goodness in all things. I somehow believe that this is what Jimmy expects and God demands. God, please continue to Bless Jimmy.

We walked together
We Walked Together
We walked together, you and I, A mother and her son. We had hopes and dreams for tomorrow, But tomorrow didn't come. We walked together, you and I. We talked, we laughed, we loved. We shared so many happy times And for that, I thank God above. We walked together, you and I, But only for a short time. For all too soon it ended Leaving broken hearts behind. And even though I miss you, More than words can say, I thank God that I got to walk with you Every moment of each day....

Poem from a Friend
Jimmy
 I quiver, I shiver
They tell me the news
I wonder why
He chose you
I walk the streets
Remembering you No matter what they say, It’s still the same Only you can fill the empty void I know you’re okay and feel no pain But with each passing day
I say a prayer asking God to take care of You We miss you and love you In our hearts is where you’ll stay
Until we meet again in Heaven some day

Until we meet again
Until We Meet Again
Goodbye is a distant word
That seems to never last.
How often we always say it And it seems to become the past.
But now the time has come
For me to state my claim,
But I just can’t stand to use that word in the same sentence as your name.
Jimmy, you meant so much to us
Your smile, your laugh, our cry
God, help us to know the reason why
It was you who had to die.
you brought so many smiles
To everyone’s day.
Your face could brighten the sky
When it is filled with clouds of gray.
You’ll never be forgotten
And we know you are near.
Jimmy you will always live in our memories
And in the hearts of everyone here.
I know you’ll brighten heaven
Because that’s the way you've always been.
And since goodbye is such an ugly word
Until we meet again

Our friend and Brother
Our Friend
At one time you were our world. As the years passed us by, you were our brother, our friend. The older we grew, the closer we drew. We lived our lives and suffered many sorrows, together But to suffer this one alone, we just don't know. You made your own rules; you conquered the world, and more-- Heaven's door. The world will forever be a little emptier, a little colder, and yet Heaven is so much richer. Blessed God, please watch over my friend until we can join him; we'll all join him soon. We love you still, our friend. our Baby Brother

A gift grom God

"A GIFT FROM GOD
" I lend you for a little time, a child of mine", He said. For you to love, the time he lives, and mourn for, when he's dead. It may be, for six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He will bring his charms, to gladden you, and should his stay be brief, You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I can not promise he will stay, since all from earth return. But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true, and from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love nor think the labor vain, Nor hate Me when I come to call, to take him back again? I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done". For all the joy thy child will bring, the risk of grief will run. We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, and for the happiness, we've known, forever grateful stay, But should the angels call him, much sooner than we've planned, We'll brave the bitter grief, that comes and try to understand.

Poem I feel Jimmy would write to me
MOM Please Listen To Me

Mom please listen to me As I take time to write. I see parents struggling daily. Their pain is such a fight... All of us who have gone And left the rest of you behind… We’re ok. Mom, I promise… Heaven is beautiful, and God is kind. You used to tell me that one day God would call and take you home. You told me you’d make me strong So I would stand tall when alone. But things happen sometimes, Mom That does not go in our plans, I wasn’t scared, Mom, When God held out his hand. I didn’t want to leave you. I didn’t have time to say Good bye When the angels said, "Come with us" There wasn’t time to question why. I’ve watched you daily, Mom. It hurts to see you cry. I don’t want you to be unhappy, Just because we didn’t get to say Goodbye Tell the others what I’m telling you, So many parents need to know That Earth was just a lay over We had another place to go. I know you miss me, Mom I know your heart was broken in two. But God really needed me Because my earthly life was through. I’m always alongside you… I smile and touch your hair. I whisper "Mom, I love you"You just can’t see me there. I’m the one who gently touches you On your shoulder when you’re sad I’m Happy now that you finally found God again, and are no longer mad. Tell the parents, Mom, for me That all of us kids are okay. God had plans for our lives When he called us home that day. I love you, Mom, I always will And remember I’m not far away. We’re going to be together When God calls out your name. ~ Author Unknown

His family and friends

Jimmy came in this life with a struggle but he was a fighter and he was fine. Jimmy already had 2 sisters Erica and Janelle. Erica was 6 yr and Janelle was 21 mths. old when he was born. Everyone was so excited we finally had a boy so he was spoiled from day one. Growing up Janelle and Jimmy could have been twins , they looked alot alike and they was always together. Erica thought they were pest but she loved them with all her heart. They had so much fun and always into something. His sisters were the 2 best friends in his life and boy did he love them. But his favorite thing was listening to his sister Erica sing with Vision. When he was 3 yrs. old his Grandfather started calling him bossman because he stated he would always be the boss of the family. He was the only one that had the privalage of calling him that but it stayed with them til the end. He had a special relationship with his Grandpa that none could touch. We added Bossman on his memorial stone. Jimmy was loved by alot of people esp. his Grandma,Scott, Aunt Moe, Uncle Rod, Uncle Tim , Aunt Rachel, Maddie,Nick and his little cousin Max.Jimmy was fortuante that he had lots of aunts, uncles and cousin that love him and miss him. He loved them so much too, that was his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and laugh and talk.Jimmy's favorite holiday was Christmas because all the family would get together laugh, joke, have a good time and celebrate Jesus' birthday. At 3 yrs.old he decided we should have a birthday cake and sing to him and so we carried on that tradition and will cont. to carry it on in memory of him. Jimmy's relationship with his Dad was so unique. The would fight and love each other with all their hearts. Jimmy was his Dad's best friend and went both ways. They enjoyed so much together, sports, history, news and mostly just talking together. My relationship with Jimmy was wonderful. He was my protector,my buddy and my son. I miss his great big smile and the way he would kiss me on the check and say I love you Mom. He had so many friends in his life, Anthony and Lance were his life long friends but there are so many more. He is truley missed by his close friends Daniel, Brandon, Keith, Matt, Jeff,Carter, Jacob, Tyler, Jiles and best friend and girlfriend Brittany. He loved all his buddies.
